- Limited edition is good as it mean people will want to buy it before it goes away
- A "rebrand" helps to get more people to notice the brand
- Make it interactive, so people get something back - scanning some sort of code for more unto or for money off next purchase
- Include facts and figures within the design "Every bottle you buy we do..."
- Needs to be active, as this is the best way to engage with people
Idea 02 - Fundraising event
- The event would have an expiry date on it - its talked about before it happens but after people will stop talking about it
- While people are there they will forget about what the actual cause of the event as there may be too much going on for them to think about the water crisis
- It might be difficult to get people to interact with the charity side of the event - maybe is the wrong style of event for this issue
Idea 03 - Poster Series
- Niche target audience, a poster series would limit who you can sell to as it will mainly be attracting a design conscious audience.
- Does it really solve the problem, as it only will make a small amount of people aware of the issues at hand
- Consider how this would be available
Idea 04 - Poster Zine
- Could work very well if they were given out for free in bars etc as it is the sort of thing that people (especially students) will pick up
- Could add an more interactive feature - e.g tokens included for free water
- Will people forget about the information on the back of the poster once they put it up on their walls or how can you guarantee people will read the information
Responding to feedback -
The feedback that I received has given me a good idea of how to move forward in this brief, I had been thinking that the posters were my strongest ideas at this point, but my feedback showed me otherwise. Since getting this feedback I have been able to think more about each idea more, by analysing the points made I was able to see the potential in idea one and I can see how it would benefit both the target audience that I have highlighted as well as much more, it would also be a valuable way to help bring awareness to the issue in this country as well as raising money for developing countries.
My feedback also helped me to understand the flaws of my other ideas, it was interesting to see what people thought as I was talking to people within my target audience range so this helped me to realise what would work and what wouldn't. From this stage I have been able to figure out that water bottle design is my strongest idea as it has the right tone of voice a long side a good idea that will engage the target audience with an issue that could be fairly difficult to get people to interact with.
