Despite the mis-print I was felt the printing process was a success and I was able to get the design that I had intended to produce. I will be reprinting the poser before the exhibition so that it is perfect and the way I intended it.
The reason that I went with these colours for the final design was because I felt it it had the best links back to the punk era (Sex Pistols especially) but at the same time the vibrance of the pink ink on the yellow paper helps to celebrate the punk movement and the event which helps to take away the negative connotations that surrounds punk. I also felt that because I am poster is not showing any biased opinions like a lot of the punk posers used to do I am showing how the punk style can still be used today in a celebratory manor. As this is part of British history that has help to influence many generations of people and it did have an impact on Leeds in those times and the years following so I hope my poster is seen as a positive event.
