Photography Introduction
Today I was introduced to the photography recourse, we had a sort presentation about cameras and the fundamentals this was basically how different setting work on a DSLR camera. There were 5 features that we looked into, shutter speed, aperture, exposure, iso, and RAW vs JPEG. I am familiar with all of these terms as I am very interested in the technical part of photography, although learning the right definitions for each of these terms was useful, as I did tend to get them mixed up.
The task from todays introduction was to go out and take pictures using the cameras from the university, this was a Canon 1100D. We had to use the camera in manual mode to achieve two different styles of photo, one had to be using a fast shutter speed, so that the whole subject is in focus with a depth of field. The other was to take a photo using a slower shutter speed, this would give a motion blur effect, the idea behind doing this is to give the photo some context, because if the image in blurred you can see that the subject is moving rather than stationary. Below are my results to the task plus some extra photographs that I took as we were walking around getting used to the cameras.
