Crosswater Rebrand - Logotype Brief

Crosswater Rebrand //

As a group we had to rebrand a Leeds United sponsor called Crosswater a (luxury bathroom company) this logo had to be done just using typography. We looked into the company to see what they were about and how we could start to redesign the logo from the start i think we all agreed that the Sans Serif typeface would work the best as it showed the modernist style the company has. We made many notes on too a mind map, this was how we all got our initially ideas out. I feel like this helped us get the ball rolling and really see what we could do with the new logo.

We then went away and started sketch ideas out and see what we could come up with, I feel like sketching ideas first really helps you to experiment when coming up with very concepts.

From these sketches we went on too making them in illustrator to see what we could come up with. We all came up with a large rang of design, all with different types of tracking, kerning etc.

After these design were created as a group we went on too deiced what design we thought to be most appropriate for the company. The one we choose I do not think is the best one we could have choose, but it does work but I feel that I we didn't stick to the brief that well because it was changed to a icon logo.

This was the finally design and colour way which we choose, it works but it has been iconised. But I do feel that his logo is better than the original as it brings the logo into this decade and would look very good everywhere i.e. in the Leeds United stadium.

As a project as a whole I did enjoy creating the logo but as a group I don't feel that we worked together as much as we should have. But this couldn't be helped as some days certain members did not show up or contribute any work for the project. But the final outcome worked.
